Sestriere Overview
Sestriere, thanks to its 2035m, is one of the highest resorts in Italy and, with its 400km of ski slopes that make up the Milky Way, also one of the largest.
Precisely because of its size, skiers of all levels will find satisfaction skiing here: from those who experience the thrill of skiing for the first time and beginners thanks to the presence of large nursery areas, to intermediate skiers who can try their hand at many red slopes and the more expert ones, who can try the slope where the Winter Olympics were held in 2006.
Sestriere is located close to the French border and for this reason, always with skis on your feet, you can reach Montgenèvre in France.
This resort is full of hotels and apartments, many of which have direct access to the ski slopes from the ski room, thanks to their location right next to the slopes.
More than 50 restaurants are located throughout the resort, so I would have no trouble finding a restaurant that meets your tastes, both in town and on the ski slopes.

Things to do in Sestriere
Activities - In addition to skiing and snowboarding, in Sestriere you can practice ski touring. For a break from skiing you can try the experience of dog sledding.
Restaurants - With over 50 restaurants and bars, you will have no trouble finding the right place for you, whether you are a lover of typical Italian cuisine or international cuisine. Among the places we recommend you try are Pinky, for a quick pizza, Il Centro, which offers both typical local dishes and pizza and pasta, and Vineria del Colle, an elegant restaurant that serves refined typical dishes.
Nightlife - Even though Sestriere is not particularly famous for its après-ski and nightlife, there are certainly some places where you can go to have fun. Among these we recommend the Pinky Bar, which often offers live music, Bar Sestriere which offers excellent drinks at a good price and the viewing of sporting events, Spotti Bar, particularly appreciated by the locals and the Black pepper, an elegant place to enjoy excellent cocktails.
