From Scheffau, guests have access to the SkiWelt ski area, which offers more than 280 kilometers of slopes for all levels, from the easiest for beginners to intermediates and more difficult for experienced skiers. Scheffau is a place that offers a variety of activities besides skiing and snowboarding.
An interesting place to visit is the Flycentre King of the Air, which offers the possibility of flying in tandem paragliders from the top of the Hartkaiser. A charming place to visit in winter is the Hintersteinersee lake, a mountain lake whose surface freezes in winter. Austria is famous for wellness and Scheffau is an area rich in spring waters. In fact, in the village guests can explore the Kneipp Tour stations.
Scheffau offers numerous restaurants, where guests can enjoy typical Austrian local cuisine. Some places to try are the "Leitenhof", which prepares its dishes with local natural products and the "Waldhof Alm", located directly on the ski slopes.
