Santa Cristina Overview
Santa Cristina di Val Gardena is the smallest of the Val Gardena resorts and also part of the Dolomiti Superski group.
Thanks to the large number of red runs, this resort is ideal for intermediate skiers. More experienced skiers can try their hand at the black Saslong run, the slope where the World Cup races are held. From here you can also reach the Sellaronda circuit, a tour of more than 25 kilometers.
The village located at the foot of the mountains is a perfect example of typical South Tyrolean architecture and and boasts a Gothic-style church. In this locality there is a massive presence of hotels with half-board service. However, there are also several restaurants where you can taste the excellent typical dishes of the area, and bars where you can enjoy an aperitif at the end of the day.
The après-ski and nightlife of this resort are generally calm, mainly focused on a drink after a day of skiing or after dinner chatting with friends. If you prefer something more lively we recommend to go in the nearby Selva di Val Gardena.

Things to do in Santa Cristina
Activities - There are many activities to do in Santa Cristina for those who do not want to ski or snowboard, such as cross-country skiing, ski touring, heli-skiing, snowshoeing, winter biking, paragliding and ice climbing. In addition, during the Christmas period there is a characteristic Christmas market.
Restaurants - There are many restaurants to choose from in the village. They generally have a traditional and typically Alpine style and offer typical regional dishes, pasta pizza, meat and also fish dishes.
Among these we should mention L Fudle', a pizzeria with a wide choice of pizzas, but also pasta dishes and excellent desserts, La Tambra, which is divided in two parts, a restaurant and pizzeria and a steakhouse and Plaza's, which offers typical dishes and pasta.
Nightlife - Apres-ski and nightlife are not particularly lively in Santa Cristina, so if you prefer a more lively style you would be better off moving towards Selva di Val Gardena. However, there are some places to go for a drink and a chat, such as Bar Café 2000 and the Apres-ski Snowbar.
