Ellmau Overview
Ellmau is a small village located in the heart of the Wilder Kaiser and surrounded by a breathtaking mountain panorama. Despite its small size, the resort offers accommodation to suit all tastes and a vast range of excellent hotels, many with direct access to the ski slopes. In the center of the village there are numerous cafes and bars where the guests can meet and have fun during après-ski at reasonable prices.
Ellmau is part of the SkiWelt ski area, which offers more than 280 kilometers of ski slopes, from the easiest ones suitable for beginners, to the most difficult ones for the enjoyment of more advanced skiers.

Things to do in Ellmau
The resort offers various activities to enjoy during your holiday, in addition to skiing and snowboarding, such as cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, dog sledding, snow tubing, snowshoe walking, winter walking paths, ski touring and off-piste skiing. A ski show is also organised.
Furthermore you can relax at the leisure center and the swimming pool with SPA.
For lovers of good food there are numerous restaurants available and within walking distance. We recommend booking to ensure you get a seat, especially during high season. Excellent places to try are for example the "Lobewein", which serves generous portions of typical Austrian cuisine and the "Memory" an Italian restaurant, which serves pasta and pizza and meat and fish dishes.

Airport Transfers - How to get to Ellmau
We can organise your transfers from Salzburg airport, Innsbruck airport or Munich airport. You can also choose between a shuttle transfer which can be more economical if only a few people are travelling or a private transfer which will take you direct from the airport to your accommodation.

If you are making your own way to the resort by car - make sure you have the "Vignette" sticker as you will need this to travel on the highways in Austria otherwise you would receive a fine.
