Overview
El Tarter is a quiet and small resort serving the Grandvalira ski area which has over 210 kms of pistes. The resort is nestled in the valley (Vall d’Incles) just below the resort of Soldeu. El Tarter, as a resort, offers a laid-back and quiet general atmosphere . There are quite a few good quality restaurants and bars to enjoy the social aspect, and some well-deserved Après Ski.
The ski area is ideal for beginners and families with children, with sweeping wide slopes.
One of the most emblematic hotels in this area is the Nordic which is a really popular ski in/ski out hotel with a quirky Nordic-style decor and incredible views over the pistes and mountains. This hotel also boasts a superb spa / wellness area for relaxing and pampering yourself after a hard day on the slopes. El Tarter also has a good variety of self-catering accommodation which makes it ideal for families and family groups looking for a quieter experience.
