Drei Zinnen Overview
The Drei Zinnen area, also called ‘Three Peaks Dolomites’ or ‘Tre Cime di Lavaredo’ in Italian, consists of several towns and villages, including San Candido, Dobbiaco, Sesto and Moso. Between all these villages you can move around comfortably thanks to the free bus service that connects them all.
The Drei Zinnen ski resort is part of the large Dolomiti Superski group and it offers 115 km of slopes for all levels, surrounded by incredible scenery, including the well-known Three Peaks Dolomites from which the resort takes its name. The Drei Zinnen is the perfect place for beginners and intermediate skiers, thanks to the massive presence of blue and red slopes. Although there are also some perfect slopes for more expert and demanding skiers, including the steepest slope in Italy, the Holzriese. For those who want to push their legs to the limit, there is the Giro delle Cime circuit, which offers a tour of almost 35 kilometers.
The Drei Zinnen area is located very close to the Austrian border, so here you will find an interesting mix of cultures, between the Italian and the Austrian ones. This duality is also reflected in the cuisine of this area, where you can enjoy excellent dishes of both Italian and typical South Tyrolean cuisine in one of the many restaurants in the four small towns. You will also find several places for an aperitif after a long day skiing or before or after dinner.
