Cortina Overview
Cortina, nicknamed "the Queen of the Dolomites" is among the most famous resorts in Italy and is also a favourite destination for Italians from the Milan and Rome areas, who use to spend their weekends there. Every year it is a stage for many World Cup races, it hosted the Winter Olympics in 1965 and will be there again in 2026. It offers an elegant town with a typical Italian style with numerous refined hotels, elegant restaurants and bars and shops, including many luxury ones.
In this location you can ski surrounded by an unrivalled panorama: the Dolomites tower over the entire resort, which as an additional advantage offers less crowded slopes precisely because of the wonderful panorama that surrounds them, since many people come here more for the view than for skiing. The slopes are wide and suitable for all levels, from first-time or beginner skiers to intermediate and advanced skiers. There are several huts on the slopes, where you can have a drink or a bite to eat between skiing.
There are numerous venues in Cortina where you can enjoy excellent dishes. There are more than 60 restaurants and bars for all tastes and budgets. There are many upmarket places, but there are also places with a more relaxed atmosphere.
There are several opportunities for après-ski and nightlife, from quieter places to enjoy a drink after a day on the slopes to various clubs where you can party all night long.
